PJ Washington To Miss Summer League With Sore Left Foot

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — When the Charlotte Hornets start play in the Las Vegas Summer League on July 5 they will be without their first round draft pick.

PJ Washington will not play in the summer series due to a sore left foot, head coach James Borrego announced Wednesday. Washington initially suffered the injury during the SEC Tournament while he was at Kentucky.

Washington is not expected to need surgery, the time out is being viewed as a precaution.

The Hornets are hopeful Washington will be ready to go for training camp in September.
