Wilson’s World: Enjoying Fun in the Sun…and Water with the Carolina Show Ski Team

The Carolina Show Ski Team will be celebrating the 4th with a family friendly ski show on July 4th at Windjammer Park.

TEGA CAY, S.C. –  Wilson was trying to beat the heat this morning at Windjammer Park on Lake Wylie with members of the Carolina Show Ski Team.  The non-profit family oriented group took to the water early this morning to show us some of their exciting water skiing skills and tricks.  Participants in the ski team range from age 6 to 60.

The Carolina Show Ski Team is a competitive, entertaining, family-oriented team that performs water ski shows throughout the summer at Windjammer Park and other events around the Carolinas. They practice, perform weekly ski shows, compete in tournaments both regionally and nationally.  They also have learn to ski classes for those water lovers who want to learn.

On Thursday, July 4th they will be celebrating in water ski style at Windjammer Park with Tega Cay’s 37th Anniversary Celebration Water Ski Show.  Beginning at 11am the annual 4th of July Paddle Board Jousting starts and then at 1pm the Carolina Show Ski Team water ski show kicks off.   There is no charge to come out and enjoy the water ski show.

The ski team will be holding a benefit tonight at Famous Dave’s on Cabella’s Blvd near Carowinds to raise funds for the non-profit team.
