Wilson’s World: Previewing ‘Friends’ Night with the Charlotte Knights at BB&T Ballpark
The Charlotte Knights take on the Gwinnett Stripers at 7:04 tonight.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Knights will be kicking off a 4 game home stand against the Gwinnett Stripers tonight with a special ‘Friends’ night. Wilson was with Homer at BB&T Ballpark this morning chasing down innocent people just trying to get to work to get them to sing the theme song from the TV show and giving them a free Knights tee-shirt.
Wilson had a surprise this morning when he was ”the one with the monkey” and received a visit from ‘Marcel’ the Monkey a.k.a Willow from Darby Acres Farm & Safari. Darby Acres is an animal education group that offers guided tours, summer camps and even a traveling petting zoo with the purpose of teaching people more about animals and how they should be treated. On Sunday, July 21st Darby Acres with be holding a Yoga Safari Sunday event which includes a 1 hour yoga class among the animals. Be sure to head out to BB&T Ballpark tonight to celebrate ‘Friends’ night. The first 2,000 fans through the gate will get a free Knights ‘Friends’ inspired tee shirt. And since it is also Thirsty Thursday fans 21 & over can enjoy $3 domestic drafts and $5 craft drafts. All fans can enjoy $1 small sodas. First pitch is at 7:04pm.
