Former Panthers Shine In All-Star Soccer Match

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The sport was different but the competitive juices still flowed Friday night at Romare Bearden Park.

House of Soccer took over Uptown Charlotte as hundreds of fans packed the park to share their love for the game. The big event of the evening was a 5v5 soccer match.

Hornets center Cody Zeller was one coach, and three-time Olympic gold medalist and World Cup champion Heather O’Reilly was the other coach. O’Reilly currently plays for the NWSL’s Carolina Courage.

Filling out the roster were some former Panthers in Kurt Coleman, Tre Boston and Jonathan Stewart.
