BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities in Burke County are investigating after a person on a 4-wheeler was shot and killed early Monday morning.
The Burke County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and medical personnel responded to reports of two people being run-over by a person riding a 4-wheeler on another person’s property in Connelly Springs, just before 2 a.m. Monday morning.
According to officials, a third person shot the person riding the 4-wheeler, who died at the scene.
The case remains under investigation and more information will be released as it develops.
