CMPD Arrests 3 Teens Accused Of Breaking Into Vehicles

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have arrested and charged three suspects accused of breaking into vehicles in east Charlotte early Thursday morning.

The crimes were reported just before 3am on Schubert Place near East W.T. Harris Boulevard. The caller reported someone breaking into vehicles throughout the neighborhood.

Arriving officers reportedly found three suspects sitting in a vehicle near the reported location. The occupants took off running, police say, but were quickly apprehended.

De’Alyun Miller, 19, Henold Jean, 18, and Malayki Ellison, 17, have each been charged with three counts of breaking and/or entering a motor vehicle, felonious larceny and two counts of misdemeanor larceny.

CMPD reminds the public to lock your vehicles and remove all valuable items from your vehicles, including keys.
