Wilson’s World: School Bus Safety with the Mooresville Police Department

MOORESVILLE, N.C. –  It’s almost time for back to school, so Wilson was at Mooresville High School with members of the Mooresville Police Department to talk about back to school bus safety for the our children.  It is never too early to remind drivers that kids will soon be getting on and off school buses to travel to and from school and we want to be sure that they get there safely.

Officers will be watching school zones carefully for drivers speeding through school zones and passing stopped school buses.  Speeding through a school zone or passing a stopped school bus can cause a big problems for drivers who do that.  A driver can get 5 points on their license for passing a stopped school bus, that is one of the biggest amount of points that a driver can get for a moving violation.
