CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has identified the man who was shot and killed near Uptown Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened around 4:38pm on West Trade Street near I-77. Police say A’mari McCaskill, 20, was found suffering from a gunshot wound and taken by Medic to CMC with life threatening injuries.
McCaskill was pronounced dead a short time later.
Investigators have not released any information on a suspect, but say they’re canvassing the area for possible witnesses.
