#Trending on WCCB: Hurricane Dorian

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In this Trending on WCCB segment, we take a deeper look into the stories that were popular on www.wccbcharlotte.com this week.

Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas, flooded many areas along the east coast and produced numerous tornados in the Carolinas.  A live stream video from The Frying Pan Tower, which is located 34 miles off the coast of North Carolina, was trending for several days as people watched the storm roll through the area.

The Frying Pan Tower is owned by several people but one of the owners, Richard Neal, lives in Charlotte, North Carolina and WCCB caught up with him to learn more about this unique tower.  View the full interview HERE.

Many pets had to evacuate the east coast as Hurricane Dorian moved into the area.  Those pets are now in local animal shelters and at rescue organizations in the Charlotte area and are available for adoption.  See how you can adopt those animals HERE.

Another story trending on WCCB’s website is the return of The Ellen Show.  The first episode of season 17 premieres this Monday, September 9th on WCCB Charlotte’s CW at 5pm.
