DALLAS, NC — A 36-year-old Gaston County man is facing multiple child sex related crimes involving victims between the ages of seven and 12.
Police say Travis Proctor is charged with felony 1st Degree Statutory Sex Offense, two counts of felony Indecent Liberties with a Child, and two counts of felony Disseminating Obscene Material to a Minor under 13.
The charges reportedly stem from an investigation by the Cleveland County Department of Social Services, which was reported to the Gaston County Police Department.
Proctor was arrested at his home on Monday. Detectives say they also executed a search warrant and seized electronic storage devices belonging to Proctor. Those items will be subject to forensic examinations to determine their contents.
Police say Proctor was previously convicted of Indecent Liberties with a Minor and is a registered sex offender.
