CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have identified the woman who was shot and killed in southwest Charlotte early Sunday morning.
Twenty-year-old Shandiin Sanchez was found in the roadway near an apartment building on Riverbirch Drive just before 5am Sunday morning. She was suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release.
Sanchez was pronounced dead on the scene by first responders.
No arrests have been made in the case. This is Charlotte’s 91st homicide of the year. There were 57 homicides in 2018.
