Wilson’s World: Pumpkin Chunkin’ and Spooky Science at The Schiele Museum in Gastonia

GASTONIA, N.C. – This morning Wilson found just the place to enjoy Halloween, The Schiele Museum  of Natural History in Gastonia with it’s Creepy Nature exhibition and Pumpkin Chunkin’ fun.

The Creepy Nature exhibition is designed to share the actual science of weird and unusual plants and animals and features horror fiction concepts like vampires, zombies, mummies, and alien invaders!

Wilson was hands on today with a Madagascar hissing cockroach, a red tail boa constrictor and even a lizard on the camera lens.  He then went outside to enjoy a little pumpkin chunkin’ and trying to take out a tree.

On Sunday, November 3rd take your dried up pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns to The Schiele to fling, smash, or pulverize your pumpkin. And if you don’t have a pumpkin to chunk, they will have some there for you to purchase. Pumpkin chunkin’ will be from 1:30 – 3:30pm.

The Schiele Museum is located at 1500 East Garrison Blvd in Gastonia.  For more information on all of the exhibits as well as hours and tickets prices go to their website at schielemuseum.org.
