Myers Park Blows By Independence, Wins Outright Conference Title

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Myers Park finished the regular season undefeated and claimed their first outright conference title since 1983 with a 56-20 win over Independence.

The Patriots started the game well and enjoyed a 14-7 lead in the second quarter, but the Mustangs scored three unanswered touchdowns to lead 28-14 at halftime.

Both teams are headed to the playoffs next week.
