Wet Tuesday, Very Cold Wednesday

Tuesday will be cooler and wet with on and off periods of rain, highs in the low 50s early with falling temperatures throughout the day. Mountain communities will see rain changing to snow along with plunging temperatures. Although only light accumulations are expected, any wet roadways may turn slick as temperatures drop into the 20s. Skies will clear late Tuesday with frigid air overspreading the region. Overnight lows will drop into the teens and 20s and feel even colder when you factor in the wind. High temperatures will only reach the mid 40s Wednesday with below average temperatures expected for the remainder of the week.
