Charlotte Rescue Mission Needs 3,000 Turkeys Donated To Help Families In Need

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Each Thanksgiving Day the Charlotte Rescue Mission opens its doors to anyone seeking food, comfort and hope.

To continue the holiday tradition, the Charlotte Rescue Mission hopes to collect 3,000 turkeys during their annual Thanksgiving Turkey and Food Box DriveThe last day to drop off a turkey at the Charlotte Rescue Mission is November 23rd.

“These turkeys are needed for our holiday meal and for 3,000 Thanksgiving food boxes for families in need,” says Rev. Tony Marciano, President and CEO of the Charlotte Rescue Mission. “Our goal is to help as many as possible receive a hot meal and the hope of a new tomorrow from the troubles they are facing today.”

The Charlotte Rescue Mission needs frozen turkeys from 12 to 15 pounds each. They need to be frozen due to health and safety reasons. Donations may be dropped off at Charlotte Rescue Mission – Rebound at 907 W. 1st Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
