Wilson’s World: Talking Turkey and Bell Ringers with the Salvation Army and Harris Teeter
The Salvation Army is looking for volunteer bell ringers to help them with their Red Kettle Campaign.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was at Harris Teeter at Berwick Town Center in Charlotte where he was giving us Thanksgiving day turkey tips and telling us how we can help the Salvation Army and their Red Kettle Campaign.
The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign has already kicked off at local Harris Teeter locations, but they are always in need of volunteer bell ringers to help out. If you would like to volunteer to be a bell ringer you can do so online at www.registertoring.com. Volunteers can sign up for shifts as individuals, or join with coworkers, family and friends and adopt a whole day. New this year, if you don’t have cash to drop in the kettle, you can use your smart phone to make your donation!
Wilson’s 24 hour ‘Stuff the Truck’ event for the Salvation Army Angel Tree will begin next Thursday, December 5th at 6am at SouthPark Mall.
Harris Teeter has been working with the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign for over a decade and continues to support the campaign because the funds donated stay in the community.
If you still haven’t gotten that turkey for Thanksgiving dinner, no need to worry. Harris Teeter has you covered. You can also pick up a gift card for family or friends while you are shopping and earn 4x the points for your Harris Teeter fuel points.
