Charlotte Catholic Wins 7OT Thriller To Advance To 3A State Championship Game

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After seven overtimes Jacob Schachte had had enough, the senior intercepted a Kings Mountain pass to give Charlotte Catholic the 56-49 win.

The game was tied 7-7 at the half and would stay that way after four quarters of play.

The Cougars have now advanced to the 3A state championship game where they will try to win their third straight state title.
