Wilson Joins CMS High School Students and Second Harvest to Kick Off their Student Hunger Drive

The Carolinas Student Hunger Drive runs through March 23rd.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was at Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina on Monday night with students from Charlotte-Mecklenburg area schools to kick off their annual Carolinas Student Hunger Drive. Wilson emceed the event which included a talent competition that was won by East Mecklenburg High School.  The win meant that East Meck gets 1,000 pounds of food added to the total that they collect.

The event kicked off on Monday and  is a six week student led contest.  The students of the schools that are participating will be collecting canned and dry goods as well as funds to purchase more food for Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
