Will Healy Speaks On Contract Extension
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — When the Charlotte football team was 2-5 this past football season 49ers athletic director Mike Hill approached head coach Will Healy expressing a desire to extend his contract. Healy and the 49ers then turned their season around finishing 7-6, cementing the programs first winning season and first appearance in a bowl game.
Healy finalized a two year contract extension on Tuesday which will see it now run through 2026. Healy says the original offer to extend his contract gave him “a sense of peace.” But the head coach is also looking to make sure his assistant coaches are taken care of as well.
