Wilson’s World: Getting Ready for Opening Day at Carowinds
Carowinds fun begins weekends on Saturday, March 21st with Season Pass Preview Night on Friday, March 20th.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was at Carowinds this morning as they were getting the park ready to open for the season. He gave us a look at areas behind that scenes that park visitors don’t normally get to see.
Wilson went into the greenhouses to find out about all of the work that is having to be done for landscaping and the gardens, into a satellite building location to learn more about the important maintenance work that is done on the rides to keep them safe and fun. He also found out more about getting the shows and special events ready before opening day.
New this year at the park will be the Boogie Board Race, world-class water slide racing which is the longest mat racing slide in the Southeast, and Grand Carnivale, a larger-than-life cultural celebration that will run from June 13th through July 5th. During spring break Carowinds will be debuting Monster Jam Thunder Alley where visitors can get up close and personal with these great Monster Truck. Monster Jam Thunder Alley is a limited-time experience on operating days March 21 to April 19, 2020.
Season pass preview night will be March 20th with the park opening for weekends beginning March 21st. The park will be open daily for spring break from April 3rd through Sunday April 19th. Check out the park’s website for more dates and full season dates.
