Charlotte Senior Living Community Helping Seniors Stay Connected With Family

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A senior living community in Charlotte, Waltonwood Cotswold, has found a way to keep residents connected to their loved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The elderly population, specifically 65-year-old and higher, has been identified as a high risk population for the coronavirus. This has lead communities with senior citizens to implement restrictions.

Waltonwood Cotswold is one of those community as they have restricted non-essential visitors at the community to keep residents safe and healthy.

The community, despite the restriction, wanted to keep the community connected so they purchased additional iPads and computers for residents to use daily.

They also scheduled times for residents to use the devices to Facetime, Skype or use any other platform to speak with loved ones.

Waltonwood Cotswold made the following statement about keeping their community connected:

The community knows the importance of staying connected with family and friends, so they wanted to do what they could to keep spirits high during this difficult time.
