Gaston County Police Charge Two Suspects For Homicide, Victim Identified
CRAMERTON, N.C. — The Gaston County Police have arrested and charged two suspects for murder after a hit-and-run incident turned into a homicide.
On Monday, around 2 p.m., officer responded to the area of Church Street in Cramerton where the accident occurred. Upon arrival, police located a female victim deceased near the driveway of a residence.
The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Dana Robinson of Cramerton.
The initial reports of the incident indicated that the victim was struck in a hit and run and further investigation revealed the homicide occurred during the commission of a felony motor vehicle theft, a news release stated.
According to Gaston Police, through an investigation 32-year-old Ashley Martin and 38-year-old Tabatha Dingess were identified and located. Police also located the two vehicles that were involved.
Both suspects have been charged with first degree murder, a news release said. Both suspects are currently in custody at the Gaston County Jail under a hold pending first appearance.
