Ready For Anything: 49ers Still Preparing For Season

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Despite the pandemic forcing some schools in North Carolina to pause workouts the Charlotte 49ers are still taking to the field.

“It’s probably been the most challenging five and a half months that we could ever imagine,” said Charlotte head coach Will Healy. “But I think the way that our guys have handled their day-to-day business and been able to stay safe and make the right decisions, they’ve been committed to everything we’ve asked them to do from a protocol perspective.”

Healy says the energy at practice has been good and he remains excited to see them play.

The 49ers practiced under the lights Wednesday evening. With under a month until their scheduled season opener against App State on September 12, Charlotte continues to focus on themselves.
