Transparent Public Restrooms May Soon Be a Thing
CHARLOTTE, NC — Transparent public restrooms may soon become a thing.
One of Tokyo’s most popular districts recently installed two new see-through bathrooms.
Their designed to be transparent when unoccupied — so potential users can confirm they’re empty and clean — but turn opaque once the door is locked inside.
The creator behind the project says the restrooms are aimed at changing people’s perception of public toilets.
