Wilson’s World: Checking in with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina on National Food Bank Day
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Today is National Food Bank Day so Wilson felt it was a great time to check in with his friend Kay Carter, CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, to see how they are doing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since it’s inception in 1981 SHFBM serves 24 counties in North and South Carolina striving through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the collection and distribution of food to those in need. They support local non-profits and shelters as well as many direct programs as well.
Second Harvest Food Bank is still in need of donations during this hard time. Find out how you can help out those that are in need by either donating or volunteering the food bank’s website secondharvestmetrolina.org.
