Couple Arrested After Deputies Say They Found 7.5 Ounces Of Heroin And 6.5 Pounds Of Marijuana During Traffic Stop
CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — Catawba County Sheriff Deputies say they arrested a couple after they found 7.5 ounces of heroin and 6.5 pounds of marijuana inside their vehicle following a traffic stop.
Jessica Ruch, 34, of Newton and Floyd Gibbs III were both arrested in the case.
Deputies say Ruch has been charged with trafficking heroin, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle to transport a controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, conspiracy to traffic opium, conspiracy to sell marijuana and failure to yeild for blue light and siren. Ruch received a $200,000 secured bond.
Gibbs has been charged with conspiracy to traffic heroin, conspiracy to sell and deliver marijuana. Gibbs received a $100,000 secured bond.
