Wilson’s World: Discovery Place Locations Set to Welcome Back Guests Next Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  The last time Wilson had a virtual visit with Discovery Place it was to talk about their Discovery Place School Camp.  Today he is happy to talk with Catherine Wilson Horne, President and CEO of Discovery Place, about their re-opening beginning next week after 6 months of being closed and how they are going to make sure to keep their guests safe during their visit.  All Discovery Place locations, including Uptown, Science, Kids, Huntersville and Rockingham, will be opening for limited hours and with only 25% of occupancy.

The employees at Discovery Place have been working since June to make sure that all of the exhibits are not only user friendly, but safe as well.   Tickets must be purchased online as reservations and a timed entry are required.  All visitors will be required to have their temperature checked with a short health screening upon arrival. Face masks for guests 2 years and older will be required.  More information on location’s hours, reservations, tickets and health requirements can be found at the Discovery Place website HERE.
