Edge On The Clock: Nearly Half Of Americans Have Already Started Online Holiday Shopping

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Some people are already getting in the holiday spirit, partly due to the pandemic. A new survey conducted by OnePoll, on behalf of Affirm, found nearly half of all Americans have already started online shopping for the holidays because they are bored at home. 15% said they had already started their holiday shopping by August. About 48% of people also say they plan on shopping entirely online this year.

Plus, the cover of Vogue will soon feature its first plus-size black woman. Singer Lizzo announced on Instagram that she will be be featured in the magazine’s October issue. In her post she writes, “I am the first big Black woman on the cover of Vogue magazine.”

And, three New York City subway workers are in some hot water for creating a make-shift man cave underneath Grand Central Terminal.
