Wilson’s World: Previewing the Arts Council of York County’s 16th Annual Blues and Jazz Festival
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It may be a lot different this year, but the Arts Council of York County’s 16th Annual Blues and Jazz Festival will kick off today. Bobby Plair, Jr. of the Blues & Jazz Festival talked with Wilson about this year’s free virtual event which will celebrate the roots of blue and jazz with infectious rhythms, soulful sounds, and high energy performances.
The festival runs October 1st through the 3rd from 7pm each night. This year’s festival features six bands with performances by two bands each night with performances by Plair, Mellowgroove, Weekends, Neal Davenport Jazz Trio, the Oneppo Brothers Duo, and Winthrop University Jazz Guitar Ensembles.
Blues and jazz fans can attend the virtual event beginning a 7pm each night as HERE. Even though the virtual even is free, donations are encouraged to help continue their mission to create great arts programming.
