Slightly Warming Before Rain Increases this Weekend

A beautiful week ahead with tropical moisture on the way for the weekend.

A beautiful week continues with high pressure in control. Expect high temperatures to top out in the low 80s on Wednesday and Thursday before a cool down and rain approach the Carolinas. Clouds increase on Friday with high temperatures dropping to the low 70s.

Hurricane Delta Update: Delta went from a Tropical Depression to a category 4 hurricane in about 30 hours. NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft report that Hurricane Delta has rapidly strengthened into a dangerous category 4 hurricane this afternoon. Maximum sustained winds are now up to 145 mph (as of 5 pm advisory). The remnants from Delta will track through the Carolinas this weekend, however, there are still a lot of uncertainties with rainfall amounts and timing. As of Tuesday afternoon, the mountains look to pick up 2-4” of rain Friday – Sunday and roughly 1-3” elsewhere across the WCCB area.
