Warming up with increasing rain chances for your weekend
A beautiful week continues with plenty of sunshine and above-average temperatures. Expect high temperatures to top out in the low 80s on Thursday before a cool down and increasing showers approach theΒ Carolinas. Clouds increase on Friday with high temperatures dropping to the low 70s.
Hurricane Delta Update: Delta made landfall Wednesday morning along the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula near Puerto Morelos. Maximum sustained winds are now at 100 mph (as of the 2 pm advisory).
The remnants of Delta will track through and north of the Carolinas this weekend. The Mountains will pick up the most rain through the weekend as they will likely see 1-3”. Rain totals decrease the farther east and southeast you are across the WCCB area. Isolated storms are possible on Sunday, but there is no severe weather threat issued by Storm Prediction Center at this time.
