Wilson’s World: Make a Dog’s Day This Thursday with CMPD AC&C and Subaru of South Blvd
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Melissa Knicely of CMPD Animal Care & Control, Whitney Marti of Subaru South Boulevard and Marques Nash with Sugar Creek Brewing joined Wilson this morning to give us a little more information about this Thursday’s Subaru’s Make A Dog’s Day event.
From 4pm until 8pm on Thursday, October 22nd at Sugar Creek Brewing Company dog lovers can bring their pets out to the brewery and join CMPD Animal Care & Control and Subaru South Blvd on their patio to celebrate their canine friends. CMPD AC&C will have a microchip checkpoint and an adoptable dog station. The event also includes vendors and a raffle. Subaru will have a showcase of their cars as well.
The event is a part of Subaru’s nationwide Subaru Loves Pets program which is just one part of their Subaru Love Promise commitment. Subaru South Blvd and CMPD AC&C have partnered for 10 years supporting adoptions of shelter pets during the each October for Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month.
In honor of National Make A Dog’s Day, Subaru and Subaru South Blvd. will be donating $100 per dog adopted through CMPD AC&C beginning October 1st through October 31st. Subaru of America and Subaru South Blvd have committed to donating for up to 31 dogs for a dog-a-day in October, up to $3,100.
