Wilson’s World Homeschool: Learning More About Rosa Parks and How She Helped Initiate a Movement

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sixty-five years ago today, a black seamstress took a seat on a bus and when asked to move…refused.  The seamstress was Rosa Parks and when she was arrested for not moving history was made.    Zach the Historian from the Historical Center of York County joined Wilson to talk more about this life changing event.  He also introduced us to Sarah Mae Flemming another black woman who also found herself challenged on a city bus.

Find out more about the Historical Center of York County at their website HERE and follow them on Facebook and Twitter as well.
