Detectives Investigate A Credit Card Skimmer Operation In Burke County

RUTHERFORD COLLEGE, N.C. — Detectives with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office say they are investigating several cases where it is believed a credit card skimmer was used to compromise credit and debit cards in the Rutherford College area.

Detectives say they are working to identify suspects in these cases as these cards have been used in multiple counties.

Investigators say anyone who has had their credit or debit card used for fraudulent transactions should call the Burke County Sheriff’s Office at 828-438-5500 to file a report.
