Wilson’s World Homeschool: Learning About the Babirusas at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia

CHARLOTTE. N.C. — In his video trip to the Riverbanks Zoo & Garden in Columbia today Wilson was not only joined by Milo Anderson but also visiting with him was Mammal Keeper, Bailey Gensheimer.  Milo and Bailey introduced Wilson to the babirusa (pig-deer).  Even though the babirusa is a member of swine family, it is no ordinary pig, but has long legs and a torpedo shaped body.  Babirusas  have a “prehistoric” appearance and are found in the swamps and rainforests of Indonesian islands.
