Wilson’s World: Getting Fit and Getting Support from the YWCA of the Central Carolinas

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The YWCA may look a little different right now, but getting in that exercise is still the same.  Jeff Nerret, Director of Fitness,  with the YWCA Central Carolinas joined Wilson to talk about the Safe Fitness Spaces at the YWCA.   Following the CDC guidelines for covid safety, the YWCA classes have limited capacities of 8 participants for indoor classes and 15 participants for aquatics classes and of course,  all individuals must wear masks the entire time (unless they are in the pool).  And, all YWCA fitness members receive exclusive workout videos from  instructors in a weekly email so they can get a workout in from home.

The YWCA is more than a gym, and when you become a fitness member you’re connected to an entire community. Members are part of the mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, dignity and freedom for all.  To get more information on the YWCA and find out how you can get involved at their website YWCACentralCarolinas.org.
