Wilson’s World: Learning More About Welcome Home Baskets Donated by the Salvation Army

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Brent Rinehart of The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte joined Wilson to talk about their Welcome  Home Baskets and their Save-a-Seat bus pass program  Homelessness is a major problem in Charlotte, so to help those people, the Salvation Army is working to move those people into apartments and help them gain employment.

Once in an apartment, the Welcome  Home Baskets provide essentials needed for having a clean home.  Donors are asked to pick up a laundry basket and fill it with he cleaning items.  A list of the items needed for the Welcome Home Baskets can be found HERE.

The Save-a-Seat bus pass program provides bus passes to help people get to and from their jobs, interviews and appointments.  More information on the program as well as a list of bus pass prices can be found HERE.
