CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For eight years the Fight for Air Climb has been held in Charlotte to raise funds for the American Lung Association. This morning Katie Kuehne, Event Team Captain for Katie’s Climbers, talks with Wilson about how she has been campaigning for lung health since she was only just 10 years old. Katie shares the story of how the death her passion for lung health grew stronger after she lost several family members, including her father, to lung disease.
This is the first time the Fight for Air Climb has been held at Truist Field, home of the Charlotte Knights. But for those who can’t make it to the physical event will also be a an optional“Climb Your Way” event. Money raised at the Fight For Air Climb will fund the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support the organization’s COVID-19 Action Initiative.
