Charlotte Thunder Preparing To Bring Exciting Football To The Queen City

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Arena football is coming back to Charlotte. With new ownership, headlined by former Panthers Thomas Davis and Ted Ginn Jr, the Charlotte Thunder are ready to make their debut.

The Thunder will play a 10-game season in the American Arena League with home games played inside the Bojangles’ Coliseum. The season opener is at home on Saturday at 7:30pm against the Pennsylvania Union. Tickets are only $15.

Along with Davis and Ginn, the Thunder are owned by local businessman Joe Maus, and former NFL players Frank Garcia and Jeff Reed.
