STATESVILLE, N.C. — Troopers say a woman died after she was hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Iredell County.Β The accident happened on NC 901 near Warren Bridge Road around 5:15am on April 1st.
Troopers say 39-year-old Amber Hudspeth, of Union Grove, was walking in the road when she was struck by a 2020 Honda Pilot.Β Hudspeth died from the injuries she sustained in the accident, according to a news release.
The driver of the Honda Pilot, 47-year-old Christopher Collins, was not injured in the accident.Β Troopers say no charges are expected in the case.Β The road was closed for approximately two hours while Troopers investigated.
