CONCORD, NC (News Release) โ Janique Ebanks of Concord couldnโt believe her luck when she found out she was the $100,000 winner of the 2021 Multiply The Cash Second-Chance drawing.
โYou know I didnโt believe it at first,โ she said. โI thought, โThis must be a scam!โ I had to call and verify.โ
Her entry was chosen out of 30,586,092 in the April 7 drawing. In addition to the $100,000 prize, eight people won $5,000, and 25 people won $500. Winners of second-chance drawings receive a phone call or email notifying them that they won.
Ebanks claimed her prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $70,750.
Players can enter their Multiply The Cash tickets into the lotteryโs second 2021 Multiply The Cash second-chance drawing scheduled for June 9.
