YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A 47-year-old man from Gastonia was killed in a motorcycle accident in York County just before 8pm on April 18th. Troopers say Enoch Bristol was killed after he crashed into a tree on Piedmont Road at Forest View Road. This is about six miles west of Clover, South Carolina.
Bristol was driving a Suzuki motorcycle west on Forest View Road when Troopers say he disregarded the stop sign, traveled off the right side of Piedmont Road, struck a tree stump, and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Bristol was wearing a helmet but authorities say he died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash. No other vehicles were involved. Investigators say an autopsy and toxicology tests are still pending. No other details have been released at this time.
