Freezing start once again with temps in the low to mid-30s across the region. This is 10-15 degrees below average for this time of year. Temps will warm to the mid to upper 60s this afternoon. Calm conditions will be short-lived.
Saturday Rain & Storms
Rain and storms will return Saturday. It’s been weeks since we’ve had substantial rain for the Charlotte Metro. We’re more than 2″ below average for rainfall for the month of April. However, a few storms could pack a punch Saturday afternoon. A warm front will be lifting across the area. Where this boundary ends up will likely trigger a few stronger storms. Rain and storms could produce heavy downpours, which will likely be the biggest widespread impact. Areas south of I-85 have the highest likelihood of a few strong to severe storms.
