- An unsettled pattern through Wednesday
- Cooler end to the week
Discussion:
We’re starting the week off on an active note. There is a chance for strong to severe storms late this afternoon into early evening as temps near 80 degrees. A level 2 out of 5 threat covers the southern part of the viewing area with the biggest threats being damaging wind and large hail. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. The threat for strong afternoon and evening storms will linger through the middle of the week with a muggy and warm outlook as highs reach the low 80s and overnight lows only fall into the mid-60s. The rain is needed, but we’ll be keeping an eye on the severe threat through Wednesday night with these storms. A strong cold front late Wednesday will bring in cooler and drier air to the region. Highs will fall below average, only reaching the low 70s as overnight lows tumble into the upper 40s to lower 50s. Temps will warm back to the low 80s by Sunday.
