Carowinds Reopens & Camp Snoopy Defeats Derek
Four Rising Hosts and one case of vertigo. Derek survived Copperhead Strike...but Camp Snoopy took him out.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — “We’re gonna need clean-up.” The Rising crew got to check out Carowinds before it reopens this weekend and Camp Snoopy got the best of Derek. He survived. He did not thrive. At least he didn’t ride the Hurler.
Carowinds will open for the 2021 Season on Saturday, May 22. Carolina Harbor is scheduled to open on Saturday, June 12. 2020 Season Passes will be honored during the 2021 season.
All the deets:
RIDES — From Fury 325 to Camp Snoopy, there is something for everyone in your family. @WilsonsWorld talked with Carowinds about safety information and more about what you need to know before getting tickets.
FOOD — From the Blue Ridge Country Kitchen to Harmony Hall, Carowinds has numerous dining options located throughout the park! Funnel Cakes, Rotisserie Chicken, Slow Smoked BBQ and more… it’s all at Carowinds! To find out more about the dining plans, go to Carowinds.com.
FUN — New ride Boogie Board Racer is the longest mat racing slide in the Southeast! 6 people zoom through their own chutes, sometimes enclosed, sometimes open to the sun, accelerating into a 360-degree loop and a surprise drop into a splashdown finish. Boogie Board Racer is the first new waterpark attraction in Carolina Harbor since it opened in 2016.
Between July 17th and August 1st, you can experience Carowinds’ “Grand Carnivale” and the Spectacle of Color Parade! Enjoy the decorated floats, amazing street performers, and great music!
