Wilson’s World: YWCA Central Carolinas Youth Learning Centers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The YWCA Central Carolinas has eight youth learning centers throughout Mecklenburg and Union Counties. Wilson spoke with Dr. Sheila Ijames and Kirsten Sikkelee about how the program is helping students and how the YWCA’s centers are reopening with safety measures in place.

The YWCA’s Youth Programs were impacted throughout the pandemic and they facilitated remote lessons with students, the centers now have a limited number of students in person.  You can support YWCA’s students with donations of children’s books, school supplies, and snacks for students.
