Hyatt Centric SouthPark Charlotte Hotel Celebrates Grand Opening | PHOTOS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The community gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the new Hyatt Centric SouthPark Charlotte hotel on Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a Champagne toast.
The modern hotel, located in the heart of SouthPark, offers 175 rooms for travelers to choose from, two restaurants, and meeting/event spaces.
The hotel’s lobby restaurant IRO, meaning color in Japanese, serves colorful signature cocktails and locally sourced small plates for patrons to enjoy in a cozy and naturally lit space.
Hyatt officials say the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Mizu, is still under construction and is expected to open by August of 2021.
Officials say Mizu is also Japanese inspired, specifically by the wood-fired Robata grills of Japan, and offers amazing views of the city of Charlotte from its outside patio.
Hyatt officials say the new hotel is offering a “Stay 2 Nights, 3rd Night Free” promotion that travelers can take advantage of from July through August.
Designed by Alanta-based Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio, the hotel’s modern and stylish architecture and interiors are intended to represent the rich history and green landscapes of the Charlotte area.
Hyatt officials say the hotel is located just steps away from SouthPark Mall, where visitors can shop, dine, and find a variety of sources of entertainment.
The hotel is also just a short trip away from Uptown Charlotte’s museums and attractions as well as the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Officials say the hotel is perfect for travelers looking to immerse themselves in the local culture and those with an adventurous spirit.
