CMPD: 26-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot Multiple Times In Northeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found shot to death in northeast Charlotte early Tuesday morning.

Police said a man was found unconscious around 2:30 a.m. on Waterwood Lane, near The Plaza, with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 26-year-old Dontae Kennedy, was pronounced dead at the scene by MEDIC. Kennedy’s birthday was Monday.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
