Silver Alert Cancelled For Missing 75-Year-Old Concord Woman After She Was Found Dead

A Silver Alert for a missing 75-year-old Concord woman was cancelled on Saturday after police say she was found dead less than a mile away from her home.

Police say Catherine Richardson was found dead inside a car on Littleton Drive around 9 a.m. on Saturday after going missing Friday afternoon.

Detectives say preliminary investigation does not show any signs of trauma, but the Concord Police Department is continuing to investigate.

Police expressed condolences to Richardson’s family and thank all who assisted in the search.

CONCORD, N.C. — A Silver Alert has been issued for missing 75-year-old Catherine Richardson from Concord. Authorities say Richardson has been diagnosed with dementia.

The Concord Police Department says Richardson went missing from her home on Winborne Avenue SW at around 12:45 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Authorities describe Richardson as a Black woman, 5 feet 6 inches, 120 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a grey shirt with yellow writing on it, blue jeans, and no shoes.

Authorities say Richardson is missing three teeth on the right side of her mouth.
