Panthers Celebrate The Return Of Fans At Gibbs Stadium

SPARTANBURG, S.C – The Panthers finished their first week of training camp by celebrating the return of fans and football. The team practiced in Wofford’s Gibbs Stadium on Saturday evening as part of the NFL’s Training Camp: Back Together Saturday.

The free fan event included on-field performances by the TopCats, Sir Purr, PurrCussion and Black & Blue Crew, the Mayor’s Ball Delivery and lots of activities.

The team isn’t in pads yet, but head coach Matt Rhule wasn’t happy with everything he saw.

“I was not happy at the end because we were doing too many things tonight that we don’t normally do. You got to be the same guy everyday. Our best players are the same on Wednesday’s as they are on Sunday’s and some of our guys were amped up and on the ground. We’re never on the ground at practice this much and we were on the ground tonight,” Rhule said.

The Panthers return to practice at Wofford College Monday at 8:30 A.M.
